HAPPYMINDS HOSPITAL ON TOUR

Written by NewLiveTheatre on . Posted in Latest News, Press, Shows

Stevie Helps Theatre Productions and New Live Theatre Company are pleased to announce dates for a regional tour of ‘Happyminds Hospital’, the latest incarnation of Writer/Director Stevie Helps’ mental health production.

Happyminds Hospital by Stevie Helps

‘Happyminds Hospital’ is the latest incarnation of Stevie Helps’ 5* production which has been developing since 2015. Previous carnations include: Dragged Up, Borderline Electra, Mind’s A Labyrinth and RACHEL. Happyminds Hospital is based on the authors own experiences about the downside of mental health and psychiatric hospitals. The unconventional play has ADHD, BI POLAR and a BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDER of its very own.

Everything in Rachel’s life is crumbling. She has suffered a whirlwind of abuse, but now is the abused becoming the abuser? With a villainous Father and a new lovable love interest, can she break free from her prison of torment, or will she forever remain a pawn in a squiggly wiggly game of oopsies?

Come experience Rachel, and 13 other exciting characters, in this winding tale of drama, plunging deep into melodrama, surrealism… and realism in a unique piece of Theatre.

Rachel Stevie Helps LowryWe’re very excited for Rachel, by Stevie Helps, to be returning in a brand new special version for The Lowry Studio Theatre in Salford Quays in just under 2 weeks! We have been informed that tickets had completely SOLD OUT last week, so we have been in touch with the venue and they’ve kindly added an extra 30 tickets for sale. We know half of these have already been snatched up, so book your tickets now while you can! Unfortunately we won’t be able to squish our stage any further to fit everyone in.

Characters in the play deal with my experiences with mental health and psychiatric hospitals, and how I experienced people with mental health in my own mental health states. This is all woven into the play. It’s not all P.C. – Stevie Helps, Writer/Director
